A Tradition Built on Championship Football
Since the program’s early years, Blue Springs South football has built a tradition defined by competitive excellence, championship moments, and generations of Jaguars who have represented their school and community with pride.
The Jaguars have experienced the highest levels of Missouri high school football, including three MSHSAA state championships in 2006, 2011, and 2015, along with a state runner-up finish in 2008.
From championship teams to rebuilding years and renewed momentum, every era has contributed to the story of Blue Springs South Football.

The Greg Oder Era
Head Coach Greg Oder led Blue Springs South from 2001 through 2015, compiling a 148–55 overall record. During his tenure, the Jaguars reached four state championship games, won three state championships, captured four conference titles, and won four district championships.
His tenure established a standard of excellence that remains an important part of the program's identity.
The Alan Wilmes Era
In 2022, Alan Wilmes took the helm of Blue Springs South Football and began leading the program into its next chapter. Coach Wilmes understands the tradition, pride, and expectations that come with wearing the Jaguar uniform.
Coach Wilmes is committed to developing more than just successful football players. His mission is to help shape strong young men who are prepared to lead on the field, in their families, and throughout their communities. By emphasizing discipline, competitiveness, accountability, and genuine care for one another, the program is focused on building a culture that will prepare its student-athletes for success long after their playing days are over.

CHAMPION
YEARS

2006 | Perfect Season
Record: 13–0
The Jaguars captured the program’s first state championship under Head Coach Greg Oder, defeating Christian Brothers College 41–7 in the Class 6 championship game. Blue Springs South completed a perfect 13–0 season and established itself among Missouri's premier football programs.
2008 | A Return to the Championship Stage
Record: 11–3
Just two years after winning its first state title, Blue Springs South returned to the Class 6 championship game and finished as the state runner-up.
The Next Chapter
The history is important. The tradition is powerful. But the next chapter is still being written.

2011 | Champions Again
Record: 12–2
The Jaguars returned to the top of Missouri football with another Class 6 state championship. Blue Springs South defeated Christian Brothers College 40–37 in a memorable championship game, giving the program its second state title.
2015 | Perfect Again
Record: 14–0
The 2015 Jaguars completed one of the most dominant seasons in program history, finishing undefeated and winning the Class 6 state championship. Blue Springs South defeated Christian Brothers College 37–28 to secure its third state title.
